Virginia > It is much easier to park bikes and motorcycles than cars on the Rue des Bluets.
Virginia > The "payant" sign painted on the street indicates that parking on the Rue des Bluets is metered. Drivers count the white stripes to determine if their cars will fit in a given open space. It goes without saying that small cars have a lot more flexibility in the city than large ones.
Virginia > A three stripe car.
Virginia > French parking meter. You deposit your money and get a ticket to place on the dashboard of your car. If you don't want to pay, you need to keep a sharp look out for meter maids.
Virginia > Rugs and bedding hung out on balconies add color to the neighborhood.
Virginia > I've always been intrigued by this view through a gate on the left side of the street shortly before you get to number 27.
Virginia > The glass and brick unit on the even numbered side of Rue des Bluets was added just a few years ago.
Virginia > An attractive grate protects a ground floor window on the even side of the street.
